The Clean Energy Association of British Columbia (CEBC) is excited to host a Pre-BC election “lunch and learn” event. This event is open to our membership, clean energy companies, First Nations, service providers, academic institutions, students, and those interested in joining our mission who are not yet part of CEBC!

Featured Speakers:

Rob Shaw has spent 16 years covering BC politics and is now in his fifth election campaign. He currently reports for CHEK News, writes columns for The Orca and Glacier Media, contributes to the Northern Beat website, and serves as the political columnist for CBC’s Radio West and All Points West radio programs. Rob is also the host of the weekly politics show Political Capital, available on TV, YouTube, and podcast platforms. In 2018, he co-wrote the national best-selling book A Matter of Confidence with Richard Zussman, which chronicles the defeat of the BC Liberal government and the rise of the BC NDP. Rob lives in Victoria with his daughter.

Richard Zussman is a reporter for Global BC based at the BC legislature. He joined Global BC in 2018 and has won multiple Jack Webster Awards, including for his coverage of the 2018 BC wildfires and the historic Confidence and Supply Agreement between the BC NDP and the BC Greens. Richard has also received multiple RTDNA Canada and Edward R. Murrow awards for his reporting on BC politics and wildfires. Richard holds a Master’s in Broadcast Journalism from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University. He co-authored a book A Matter of Confidence on BC politics with Rob Shaw that chronicles the events surrounding the 2017 confidence vote and the end of the BC Liberal dynasty. Richard previously served as the Provincial Affairs reporter for CBC BC. He lives in Victoria with his wife, journalist Liza Yuzda, and their two children.
