BC Hydro plans to issue a competitive call for power in the Spring of 2024. Prior to the issuing, they will continue to engage with First Nations, Independent Power Producers (the business community) and other stakeholders on their plan to acquire 3,000 gigawatt hours (GWh) per year.
On Jan 8th, the following documents were published by BC Hydro:
– draft Specimen Electricity Purchase Agreement (EPA)
– draft Request for Proposals (RFP)
BC Hydro is accepting comments on the draft EPA and RFP documents through their feedback form until January 22. A link to their feedback form can be found here in the Materials section.
