Why Become a Member of CEBC?

For over 30 years, the Clean Energy Association of British Columbia (CEBC) has been the voice of BC’s clean energy sector, advocating for policies and partnerships that drive the transition to a low-carbon future. CEBC represents clean energy developers, First Nations, service providers, academic institutions, and students.

CEBC fosters collaboration between industry, government, and First Nations, with a focus on economic reconciliation and Indigenous self-determination. By championing projects that benefit local economies and the environment, CEBC supports a clean, equitable, and sustainable energy future for all British Columbians.

At CEBC, we offer a range of benefits designed to support and enhance the success of our members. Here’s how your organization can benefit from joining us:

Networking Opportunities

Connect with industry professionals, government representatives, and key stakeholders through our events and committees. Our members gain valuable networking opportunities that foster industry growth and access to innovative technologies and approaches through collaboration with other associations.

Discounts and Insider Access

Enjoy significant discounts on CEBC events, including our Lunch+Learns and our annual Generate and First Nations Energy Summit Conferences. Members also receive exclusive access to select events, such as historic lobby days with local government, and prioritized panel space as speakers at various high-profile conferences across Canada.

Amplification of Good News

Share your company’s achievements with us, and we will help amplify them through our social media channels and email blasts to over 7,000 connections, including industry, government, and media. For example, our recent press release celebrating the Ahtaapq Creek Hydro Project was picked up by a national publication, reaching a larger Canadian audience. View the press release here.

Tailored Advice and Support

Our communications and government relations experts provide tailored advice and support, including assistance with media issues, amplification, and government-linked support where possible.

Upcoming Webinars

Participate in webinars designed to foster collaboration among First Nations members and other industry stakeholders, facilitating deeper connections and opportunities for engagement. Future webinars being considered include operators’ workshops and more. We are open to member suggestions on what to provide and are happy to collaborate in presenting content that is important and relevant to our sector and beyond.

In-Depth Policy Analysis

Benefit from comprehensive policy analysis and political updates. Our structure allows for collaborative input into select policy pieces, and members can join committees to help shape policy and advocate for organizational interests.

Your Voice

CEBC gives voice to its members through association committees, task forces, surveys, and issues-based engagement, ensuring that the collective needs of our membership and the industry are addressed.

Committee Participation

Members are invited to share their knowledge and participate in our Operational Committees, which work on policy development, research, communications, and advocacy initiatives. Committee members receive industry-leading analysis, presentations, and engage in fruitful discussions on the news and events that matter most to their business.

Sponsorship and Collaboration Opportunities

Our members have the chance to sponsor events and collaborate with CEBC to elevate their voice and visibility. This includes opportunities to sponsor major conferences, webinars, and workshops, as well as collaborate on initiatives that will have a lasting impact on the sector.
