The Clean Energy Association of BC (CEBC) would like to invite First Nations in British Columbia to attend our annual Generate conference taking place June 12-13th at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel. CEBC is pleased to announce that we are able to provide financial assistance for First Nations to attend Generate. Funding is limited so please register ASAP. Each community can send up to two reps as funding allows on a first come, first serve basis.
Tickets for First Nations attendees are $500. Register on Eventbrite here.
Please note there are some restrictions, which are listed on Eventbrite.
CEBC will be hosting a First Nations’ Transmission Equity Discussion Generate Conference Workshop on June 14th, which you are invited to attend. CEBC is convening a special First Nations advisory committee to guide the development of First Nations Power Authorities in BC. Generate will host a First Nations leaders roundtable on clean energy while Hydro One will be providing a keynote on their Indigenous equity option on new transmission lines.
While the 2023 Generate conference is focused more broadly on industry trends, First Nations interests are still significant at this event. This event will facilitate continued dialogue on:
· Opportunities in Clean Energy for First Nations
· Aligning Electricity Sector with UNDRIP
· Transmission Opportunities First Nations & Community Clean Energy
· BC First Nations Power Authority, Transmission and Partnerships
