VANCOUVER, B.C., April 7, 2026 – The Clean Energy Association of British Columbia (CEBC) announced today that n̓aasquʔisʔatḥ Stephen Rayner has assumed the role of Interim Executive Director, providing leadership and continuity for the organization as it continues to advance priority advocacy as the leading voice of the clean energy sector in British Columbia.
n̓aasquʔisʔatḥ Stephen Rayner has served as Chair of CEBC’s Board of Directors since January 2025, following his role as Vice Chair, providing steady leadership and continuity during a period of growth for the organization. He brings over 20 years of experience supporting infrastructure and energy projects across feasibility, planning, design, construction, and commissioning. A Geomatics Technologist by training, he has worked extensively with Indigenous governments and communities to advance projects that support long-term sustainability and economic growth. His leadership experience also includes elected service with Huu-ay-aht First Nations, where he has contributed to infrastructure planning, capital development, and energy policy. His work reflects a strong commitment to advancing clean energy development in partnership with First Nations, industry, and government.

Following Rayner’s transition into the Executive Director role, Ina Gjoka, Government Relations Strategist at Innergex Renewable Energy, has assumed the role of Chair of CEBC’s Board of Directors.
Gjoka brings over a decade of experience in political strategy and government relations, with a strong track record of advancing renewable energy initiatives and building trusted relationships across Western Canada. In her role at Innergex, she leads legislative and policy initiatives and works closely with government, industry, and community partners to support the development of clean energy projects across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. She is known for her ability to navigate complex policy environments and foster collaboration across sectors.

Together, we will continue to advance clean energy development that reflects our shared priorities with First Nations and all levels of government—including economic growth, reconciliation, emissions reduction, and long-term energy security.”
CEBC continues to be supported by its core operations team, including Director of Engagement and Operations Jack Magnus and Director of Communications and External Relations Ombrielle Neria, ensuring stability, alignment, and strong execution across the Association’s portfolio. The Association remains actively engaged on priority files across the sector and is well positioned to build on the momentum underway in British Columbia. This includes ongoing work related to BC Hydro and FortisBC calls for power, government relations, regulatory efficiency, long-term resource planning, distributed energy resources, and strengthening Indigenous partnerships across the clean energy sector.
Following CEBC’s announcement in early March regarding the transition of former Executive Director Kwatuuma Cole Sayers, the organization extends its continued gratitude for his leadership and contributions. Cole has supported CEBC on a part-time basis during this transition period, with a formal passing of the torch taking place at Generate 2026 in May.
